What's Happening at Sports Plus

* Sports Plus Selected as Beneficiary for DARCARS Young Run!
Sports Plus has been selected to be the local non-profit children's beneficiary for the DARCARS Young Run on October 21,2007 in Rockville. This year will be the 19th year for the race and last year it drew close to 3,000 participants. The race is both fun and unique in that it is just for kids 12 and under. We are very excited about being recognized and selected. If you would like to access more information on the run, you can do so at www.mcrrc.org/dyr.

* Sports Plus Founders Nominated for Award
Sports Plus founders Tom and Natalie Liniak were recently nominated for the 2007 Nancy Dworkin Montgomery County Outstanding Service to Youth Award in recognition of their efforts and the high quality programs that Sports Plus offers. The award is co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and the Gazette newspapers.
