*Despite the fact of the ”Platform to Europe” being no longer amongst officially existing projects (official completion date: 01/08/2007), its development continues, due to the form, underling goals, actions implemented and partners involved in the ”Platform to Europe” Future Capital project.

"FUTURE CAPITAL is part of the Action 3 of the YOUTH programme. It provides a funding possibility aiming at assisting and supporting ex - EVS volunteers in using and enhancing the value of the experience acquired during their voluntary service."

The YOUTH programme offers opportunities for mobility and active participation to young people. At a time, the 1st, public, governmental sector is not able to fulfill its obligations towards the mobile, modern  society of XX and XXI century, giving space for individual, civic initiatives, gathered around among others, environmental NGOs.

Admission to many other attractive activities appealing to young people of XXI century makes environmental and youth mobility less interesting and respected, becoming one of the main NGOs' burden and anxiety to deal with.

This project aims to combine these two aspects, by creating a platform of collaboration based on both, environmental activism and European mobility among youth.

Two main goals underlie the "Platform to Europe" project.

First, the necessity to establish YOUTH platform for mutual learning and communication among environmental and youth Danish activists, expressed by project’s partner organization, Friends of the Earth Denmark/Miljøbevægelsen NOAH. In addition, the platform aims to be a forum for Youth in Action programme's promotion among interested, green, danish associations.

Secondly, technical, administrative and practical assistance provided by the ex-volunteer, the author of the project, to strengthen Friends of the Earth Denmark in the entity’s preparations to the role of a sending and hosting organization of the YOUTH IN ACTION programme 2007-2013, the association targets to.

On that basis, once having CIRIUS’s approval on Miljøbevægelsen NOAH’s EVS host expression of interest application form, the follow-up activity will be to create space for co-operation between project's partner organization and international partners (Friends of the Earth network) within Action 2 (European Voluntary Service) as well as other initiatives of the Youth in Action programme.

---------------------------------

The Future Capital initiative being under Action 3 of the YOUTH programme 2000-2006, does no longer form part of the YOUTH IN ACTION programme 2007-2013. The formula of the current programme however, provides a wide range of other initiatives.
