                                The Meerkat

    Meerkats are very ambitious animals loving what they do.We now move to the Kalahari desert, the home of the meerkat. After a long night in the burrow a meerkat sunbathes for several minutes to warm up. A meerkat and it's "mob" will go out to forage for for food. They live in mobs with up to forty members. While foraging they may find a tasty snack like a scorpion, beetle, lizard or even a millipede. If you wonder how they survive, well, they're immune to poison. Meerkats also have great cooperation. Since young cant fight off snakes or forage for themselves the kits will have a babysitter while the mob is out.A meerkats ear is also unique with the outer part having a little flap that closes when it's digging.
