Newton International Fellowship, 26 August 2009 (Offered), for academic and research achievements. Newton International Fellowship is a very prestigious international fellowship sponsored by the Royal Society, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and the British Academy. It provides full financial support for two years of post-doc research, and another 10-year grant for future research expenses.

National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada Post Doctoral Fellowship, 20 March 2009, for graduate academic and research achievements. NSERC Post Doctoral Fellowship is a prestigious national fellowship that provides full financial support for two years of post-doc research.

Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad, 25 March 2007, for the achievements of graduate research. 302 out of over 340, 000 Chinese students studying abroad were awarded this honor in 2007.

University of Toronto Fellowship, September 2004 – September 2009, for merits of graduate study.
