Pankaj Kumar obtained his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur,India in 2002 and the M.Tech degree in Machine Design and Dynamics from I.I.T Madras in 2004. He received the “Prof B.V.A Rao Endowment Prize and Medal” from I.I.T.Madras for academic distinction in four disciplines and securing highest position (9.62/10) in his M.Tech degree. He worked with the Structural Dynamics Division of Indian Space and Research organization (I.S.R.O) from May 2004 to December 2004. Subsequently he joined Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and is working as Design Engineer in the Gas Turbine Engineering Department of its Hyderabad Unit. His areas of research include Random Vibration, Nonlinear Dynamics, MEMS Acoustics and Chaos. He has published around dozen papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings in the last two years. He has also developed many software for various kind of rotor dynamics and structural vibration analysis.
