| We make our home in Crystal River which is in Citrus County on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Citrus County is also the home of the "Gentle Giants," the East Indian Manatees, which abound in the seven rivers, canals and around the outlflow from the power plant especially during the winter months. Our home is located within the Meadowcrest Development Community. Meadowcrest is a unique community in that it encompasses five residential communities, two of which have single family dwellings, and three are condominiums. It also includes one professional/office complex, one retail complex, and one commercial complex. |

We are both transplanted northerners, Peg
having been raised in Syracuse, NY, and Curt in Scranton, PA. We
have lived in Syracuse, NY, Cleveland, OH, Lakewood, PA, and Crystal River, FL. We moved to
Florida after Curt "retired" for the third time to escape the cold, dreary winters of the north country, but
only after we had enjoyed many years of them in all their splendor,
especially the changing seasons. Our previous home that we named "Tannenbaum am Bach" (Christmas Trees by the Brook) that we built in Lakewood, PA was
out in
the country of the Moosic Mountains (Just north of the Poconos), and was
a rustic home modeled after a log home. We had planted about 5,000 Christmas trees on the property. A picture of it is shown
here below taken in one of the beautiful winters.
We used to hold reunions of Peg's Vollmer family at Tannenbaum am Bach. Below is a picture of the last reunion held in 1993. These were not just one day reunions. They usually lasted three or four days. We had access to the James cottage and the Lake Underwood Clubhouse on the lake, and our fifth wheel trailer, which we kept in the barn. Families from Pennsylvania, New York State,
Illinois, Texas and even Germany, came, and some families brought tents and camped out. We had some really good times at these reunions.
This is a picture of the last Volllmer reunion held at Tannenbaum am Bach in 1993.
We have two blogs within the web pages. One is a personal blog, that we intend to keep posting personal happenings along the way. The other is a professional blog that Curt intends to post items about taxes and politics effecting taxes and business.

Tannenbaum am Bach
