Oogie

Born on Oct. 31, 2001 (no, really!), Oogie was my cat before we were married. She is named after the character on The Nightmare Before Christmas (my favorite!) the Oogie-boogie-man.

Fraggle

She was born in 2002 in the spring. Unfortunately in 2007, Fraggle suffered from fatty liver disease and lost a significant amount of weight. I hope to get her fat again soon! Obviously, she was named after Fraggle Rock.

Chunk

Chunk was born on June 15, 2003. I watched him enter the world. My roomate had brought home a pregnant stray, and Chunk and his two siblings were the results. He was named after the character Chunk from the Goonies. If I could teach him how to do the Truffle Shuffle I would.

The Birds

Pipi

Born in May 2006, this little Nanday Conure is a handful. Small, loud, and loving I didn't think birds could be so interesting until she came into my life. She'll live to be 30+ years, and was named after Pippi Longstocking.

Fred

We're not sure just how old Fred is, but we know he is at least 20+ years old. As an Umbrella Cockatoo, he will live to be 80+ years old. He came to us from Craigslist (my dh's personal addiction). Poor guy was neglected. I hope to post pictures when his feathers grow back in.

A corgi/daschsund mix, this little girl is a handful. She was born in April of 2007. She was named after a character on South Park.

Megatron

Born July 2007, this little guy is sweet as pie. We had surgery done on his nasal passages to help him breathe better. If you have a "smooshed face/nose" dog and want to know what is involved, please page me. Megatron was named after the cartoon, evil Tranformer leader. "Tranformers, more than meets the eye!"
