2010
January New website.
February members of Life & Light in Newton have decided to support Selim, the pastor of the biggest Gypsy church in Serbia. Selim was brought up as a moslem but was saved (became born again) when he was young. As a young man he came to IBTI (International Bible Training Institute www.ibti.org.uk) for two years but returned to his own people to preach the Gospel (even though he could have stayed in the UK and had a far more comfortable life) and has since seen a church of 2000 grow! Newton church are collecting every month and sending it to Serbia (via PBS).
March Grant for Elsie from Christian Initiative Trust who made the unprecidented step of committing themselves for three years. Elsie will receive £3000 each year which is sufficiant for her to teach for several hours a week for this year. We thank the Lord for answering prayer through the generosity of his people.
April final tranche of grant from Joseph Rank Trust received.
May Gift for GATIEF sent to help the children's home in Tuger Mores, Romania
August Life & Light Missions UK ask Gerry Beves to become the charity secretary. This is accepted as a token of appreciation for the work of PBS.
November Jordan Boyd (Life & Light trainee) and Felix Connors start attending short courses at IBTI.
December Glenn Balfour opens door for Life & Light to hold ministry training at Mattersey Hall - possible for next year.
