Welcome
to Mr. Curry's 7th and 8th Grade CORE Class.
This class will be a 2 period a day class for many of the
students, both Language Arts and Social Studies. Since teachers
teach 5 periods a day, We integrate technology and collaborative learning activities throughout the curriculum. Parents will receive constant communication from the teacher and Mr. Curry will gladly respond to your phone calls and email promptly.
As a real essential part of this class,
students will be challenged to submit their assignments, take tests and
create presentations using technology. We provide parents
and students alike with online access to their Gradebook , as well as an online
version of the Weekly
Assignment sheet. The students will also take quizes and
tests
online at QuizLab. I
spent this past summer creating online
tutorials to support students who need additional assistance
and for the independent workers who are ready to accelerate their
learning. Integrating technology will provide students with the
skills needed for 21st century learning and future jobs.
Those students without access to the internet
at home will have priority in using the numerous classroom computers I
have obtained for the class. We will also make printed copies of
grade updates and assignment sheets for all students needing them.
