Pup

There once was a cute, little, black doggy. His name was Pup. One day he ran away from his home. Pup got lost in the scary woods. Poor Pup. He did not know what to do. Pup found a path out of the woods. Pup found his way home. Then , he fell asleep.

    What is it, Pup?

One sunny day, Pup woke  up. He went outside in the backyard. A few minutes later, Pup ran inside the house to his owner's bedroom. He started barking. "What is it, Pup?" his owner said. Pup just kept barking. Then he led Sarah, his owner, into the backyard. When they where in the backyard behind the house, Sarah gasped. She saw two little kittens snugled together in the grass. One was orange and one was gray. The kittens were so small and cute. Sarah took the kittens inside the house and wraped them up with a blanket. "They are so cute," said Sarah. "Ruff! Ruff!" said Pup. "Shhhhh, not so loud. The kittens are sleeping," said Sarah. One hour later, the kittens woke up. Sarah and Pup played with them. "Maybe we can keep them. But if we do, I will name the orange one Stripes and the gray one Whiskers," said Sarah. "What do you think, Pup?" asked Sarah. "Ruff!" barked Pup.

Pup, Stripes, and Whiskers

One day, really early in the morning, Pup woke up. He quikley ran to where the kittens were. They were still sleeping. He woke them up. "Let's go play while Sarah is sleeping," said Pup. "Yeah!" said Whiskers. "All right!" said Stripes. "Ok, well what do you want to play?" asked Pup. "Let's play tag!" said Stripes. "Yeah!" said Whiskers. "You're it, Whiskers!" said Stripes. They all ran around the house but they didn't go into Sara's room. Suddanly, Pup cried "Stop! I think I heard something coming from outside." They all hurried to the window. They looked out. They saw a big, brown dog. He just knocked over the trash can. He looked mean and scary. "I'm scared," said Whiskers. "It's ok," answered Pup. "He won't hurt you. We're safe inside the house." The dog looked at them. Pup, Stripes, and Whiskers ducked. Slowly, Pup lifted his head to see if the dog was gone. He wasn't. Then Pup saw a medium sized dog walk by. The big, brown dog started to attack the other dog. "Oh, no!" Pup thought. "I have to do something!" Pup ran outside and barked at the big dog. Pup chased the big dog till he ran away. Pup ran over to the dog that was being attacked. "Are you ok?" Pup asked. "Yeah. Thanks for helping me. What's your name?" the other dog said. "Pup. What's your name?" Pup asked. "Jimmy. I live just down the street. You can visit me anytime," The other dog replied. "Thanks," Pup said. Do you want to be friends?" Jimmy asked. "Sure," Pup said. Stripes and Whiskers ran out to see who that new dog was. "Hi," said Stripes. "Hi," said Jimmy. "I am Stripes and this is my little brother Whiskers." "Hi Whiskers and Stripes. My name is Jimmy." Pup, Stripes, Whiskers, and Jimmy became best friends.
