General Notes:
Members of this committee must have a knack for shopping and are responsible for purchasing prizes for small game rooms, casino store and the end-of-night "grand" prizes. Receipts must be saved and turned over to the PTA treasurer for reimbursements. The prize committee chair works with printing and small games chair to determine the best method of distributing prizes and how much money will be placed in circulation.
In addition to the game room "grand prizes", several additional "big" prizes are drawn from PHS Senior names.
Small Game Prizes
- Purchases small prizes for rooms
- Purchases room "grand prize"
- Contacts small game chair for room POC's
- Coordinates with room volunteers for pick up of their room prizes.
- For "grand prize" of each room, the student will receive one part of a two-part raffle ticket and the room coordinator keeps the other part.
- The room "grand prize" raffle tickets are drawn at the end of the night.
- Gifs and prizes must be organized into individual boxes with “like” prizes for all game rooms
Casino Store Prizes:
- Organize and price gifts (need risers to display the prizes)
- Purchase prizes for casino store
The prize chair:
- purchases prizes for (5 to 8) small game rooms and gifts for big drawings at the end of the night
- ensures the fair distribution of gifts and prizes
- tracks expenditures, monitors budget, and maintains a list of recommended retailers
