The village of Laxman Jhulla in northern India straddles the Ganga River (also known as the Ganges) in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Sitting by the Ganga (Ganges) River is a favorite pastime of the local color. Orange is worn by many sadhus and looks magnificent against the emerald green of the river.

This photo is a must to see in the larger view! IMO.

This village is a spiritual place visited by many Indians and westerners alike.  Here you see a Baba (spiritual man) in orange sitting by the Holy River.

Many of the Babas and Sadhus live day-to-day on whatever comes into their begging-bowl...

Some are masters at begging and make more money than many of the local business men. It is quite an art.
