It's Finally TIME!!!!
Meeting place and time:
Meet at SPC at 6:30am promply on Friday, June 12th.
After Mass the group will go to MARTA to travel to the airport.
Would strongly advise everyone, if you haven’t already, to read the 2009 Philmont booklet that was given to everyone a few weeks back. Has a detailed summary of prep and sequence of events at Philmont.
Great News! Crew 1 got Trek #22!

Ga Park Passes for parking fees at Georgia State and Historic Parks are available at Fulton County Libraries. According to the librarian at the Roswell Library... this is how it works. Each Library only has 1 park pass to GA Parks. They do not put them on hold so its first come first serve. The librarian suggested that you call the library first to see if its available. Other libraries might handle it differently. Here is an article about it. It looks like Cobb County Library system also has them but they might have a different way of handling check outs.

o Meet 8:00am at visitors center. Remaining Hikes: Kennesaw weekly hikes May 9 , May 23, June 6th. Each start at 8:15 AM, as usual, at Kennesaw
· Fort Mountain State Park (Feb 21-22) Conquered!
· Springer Mountain GA overnight hike (Mar 21-22) Conquered!
· Savage Gulf TN (April 18-19) Conquered!
· 20 Mile Kennesaw Mountain Hike (May 16) Conquered!
· Coosa Back Country Trail overnight hike – Vogel State Park (May 30-31) Conquered!
Philmont trip – depart Friday, June 12 & return Saturday, June 27
