Hi and welcome to my page! I'm a fifth year student in the department of cognitive and linguistic sciences at Brown University. My research aims to understand how people use their knowledge of the world to make judgments and decisions. I use behavioral studies and mathematical modeling techniques to explore these questions. See my research page and list of publications for more details. Prior to coming to Brown I worked as a strategy consultant for two boutique firms in Boston. I did my undergraduate work at Williams College in the mountains of Western Massachusetts where I studied philosophy and pre-med. When I'm not busy working on research I spend most of my time flatpicking my Martin dreadnought at local bluegrass jams and reliving my youth by playing for the Brown club hockey team. email: philip_fernbach@brown.edu cv |
