- Don’t worry, this won’t be strenuous because we all have tests that week. This is just to give you a general idea of how to be in a fraternity. I was never in one, so it’s kind of nice to learn how to do things. - Group Service Project – this will be a small, short one that you guys can choose and organize.
- National Fee = $100 - Local Fee – This has not yet been decided, but it should be under $100 - Please make out all checks to “UASOM PhiDE”
PAST EVENTSMonday, March 26 (3:00pm, Lucy's)Bylaws Committee meetingSean, Richard & any interested parties will be meeting to discuss how to adapt the national fraternity's bylaws. Some of the results of this meeting will be placed in the agenda for a vote at the next Chapter Meeting. Any and all members are invited to participate in this process. Interested parties should contact either Sean or Richard to find out when and where we plan on meeting. Tuesday, March 27 (Noon)E-board MeetingThe E-board will be meeting the evening of the 27th to discuss upcoming business & to plan the next chapter meeting. All members are allowed to attend E-board meetings if they so desire. Contact any officer to find out the exact time and location of the E-board meeting.
Thursday, March 29 (3:00 PM)Chapter MeetingThere will be a general chapter meeting at 3:00 on the 29th. Business will include committee updates and a chance for you to give some feedback about events under organization by the committees. Also, the final vote will be held with respect to dues and the unresolved budget line item for the social committee. Dues will be due within the weeks following this vote. Marsha Sutton will be speaking with us about Etiquette on April 9th. This event will be held at 12:00 noon and is a sit-down luncheon. To save fraternity money & guarantee an audience for our guest speaker, you must RSVP to attend this event. Also, we request that you attend this event. Location to be determined. Saturday, April 28 (8:45am - 3pm)Service Project & Volunteer Training DayChildren's hospital of Birmingham has partnered with our fraternity to host two service-related events simultaneously! 1) We will be filling an essential (but fun) service need for Children's hospital 2) will be completing volunteer service training for Children's hospital. ALL members are required to participate in the service project. Please contact the VP Programming if you can not make this service day, to arrange for a comparable service project. Instructions and details will be available in the coming weeks. Tuesday, May 1 (Noon, 4th Floor)E-Board MeetingE-board to discuss business for the upcoming chapter meeting & upcoming elections.
