Malawi Cichlid Blog
This is just a blog of my Malawi Cichlid tank at home, pics and events as they happen..
If u where lookin for any of my graphics pics that used to be under this address follow this link: | This is the tank: An aqua-one A510 with rock/terracotta/PVC pipe scenery and a fine black crushed rock substrate to harden the water. The Fish: Pastoolio: The largest in the tank with a very aggressive temrament. In the wild his diet consists of fry (baby fish). 8-Ball: A very relaxed fish who is always chilin, has done the most damage to the other fish tho LSD: This fish is the 2IC (2nd In Charge) and has been taking on the boss lately. he's started getting bright blue colouring in his fins lately :) Tora: A black and yellow striped cichlid that was quite big when i bought her, has pretty erratic behavour and i think it might be a wild caught fish.. Older Tank Setups: New Breeding Tank: This is my original tank that i kept Pastoolio in when he was little (nearly 2 years ago now!). I've just set this tank up for breeding cichlids from Lake Tangalia, the males the big one and the female the smaller colourful one. There's also a true shark in there for a target fish to diffuse any aggression between the mating pair. A pic of their diet and water conditioners: Note: I also feed them live brime shrimp and frozen bloodworms whitch aren't in the shot for obvious reasons.. |
