Senescent microglia: a universal target in neurodegenerative diseases

Our hypothesis

We are actively pursuing research in neuroimmunology and attempting to comprehend the disease in the different perspective. We are taking an neuroscience and immunological approaches to uncover  the pathomechanism neurological disorders.  We hypothesize that all organs including the brain are networked by immune system. Thus, senescencent immune cells deteriorate entire organ function, making them vulerable to diseases. Our first target is senescent microglia in brain-aging related neurodegenerative diseases.
