Events on the peninsula are "drops". ie. The District can provide a bus to the meet only - no bus transportation will be provided home. Parents must pick up their own students at the event. Students can return with parents or "assigned adult". An assigned adult is an adult over the age of 21 who has completed district transportation paperwork and has it on file with the Athletic Director via the Head Coach. Students may only ride with adults who are not their parents if they are released from the coach at the event to an assigned adult. Parents should not count on there being adequate "assigned adults" available to accommodate their student. Please let the Head Coach know if you will be available to be an "assigned adult" at a meet and can accommodate an athlete who might otherwise not participate due to lack of transportation. For trips off of the penninsula: If you go on
the bus, you return on the bus.
Parents may not randomly drive their kids home from away events. If there is a special reason, approval from an Administrator (Athletic Director, Principal, Vice Principal) is necessary ONE DAY before the event. Thank you for cooperating and keeping all of our kids safe. |
