First MTAL Center Meet

posted Sep 21, 2011 7:45 PM by Rich Schramm

Hello all, as I am sure you all know our first 'regular' meet is tomorrow at Toro Park. Race distance is 3 miles. First race is Varsity boys at 4pm, followed by all girls at 4:30pm, the third and final race is for Junior Varsity and freshman boys (freshman boys may also of course be designated as varsity) at 5:10pm. We should be back at the high school by 7pm. Any parents coming to watch please be advised there is a fee (I believe it is $6) to drive in the park. By parking outside the gate and walking in you can avoid this fee. If there are any questions please let us know. See everyone tomorrow at Toro Park.

Hello all, schedule contains an error. The Big Sur Half Marathon is on November 20, not November 13 as previously advertised. Sorry for the confusion. Steve Watkins

Sports Physicals / First Practice

posted Aug 2, 2011 1:28 PM by Rich Schramm

Hello all, as most of you already know all athletes must complete a sports physical prior to practicing with the team. The school will be offering sports physicals on Thursday evening, August 11 at 6:30pm at the Multi for $30. This works out well as practice starts the next day (Friday after school at Mr. Light's room at 3pm). There will also be a brief informational meeting at Mr. Light's room (C-1) on the first day of school during lunch. If anyone has questions please do not hesitate to ask. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon, Steve Watkins

Welcome to PGHS XC

Hello all, it is now less than one month until we start practicing as a team. We will start practcing on Friday, August 12, meeting in Mr. Light's room (C-3) at 3pm. Please come on time and ready to run. There will be probably be a sports physical night shortly after school begins. When we know the details on that we will let all of you know. We must have your completed 'yellow form' before you can practice with the team. Anyone who wants to get a physical on their own this summer let me know and I will make sure you get a blank form. In the past there has been a sports physical night at the start of the school year for only $30. There will also be a $30 transportation fee required of all participants (check made out to PGHS) and a field trip permission slip. Please help us to get these administrative items out of the way as soon as possible so we can concentrate on running as the season gets going. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a great summer, see everyone soon, Steve Watkins
