Welcome to the Pittsburgh Medic 3 website!
 Pittsburgh Medic 3 is located in the West End of the City and has the largest geographical area.
Although Medic 3 proudly serves all Pittsburgh neighborhoods, our primary areas are the District 2 communities:
Banksville, Beechview, Chartiers City, Crafton Heights, Duquesne Heights, Elliot, Esplen, Fairywood, Mount Washington, Oakwood, Ridgemont (Chicken Hill), Sheriden, West End, Westwood, Windgap
We're not statistically the busiest, but factor in that out transport times times are longer than average. So what you get is a day/evening full of barely making it back to the driveway just to take off once again.  Our station is located at 320 South Main Street in West End.
The building also houses Pittsburgh Police Zone 6 and SDD as well as the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire's Arson Squad upstairs.
  The side of our building has a great painting of the three public safety services together.
Medic 3's area also has the Country's steepest street!
Canton Avenue is tied with a street in San Francisco with being the steepest public street in the United States at 37 degrees and is possibly one of the steepest in the world!
