Book Fair News
The 2011 Book Fair starts November 11th and runs through November 17th. Children will visit the book fair during scheduled library times. Don't miss our Book Fair Family Night on November 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. This would be a great night to pick up holiday gifts.
ENCORE Scheduling
Roanoke County Public Schools have implemented a new scheduling system for the elementary level special areas. This includes, Music, PE, Art and Library. This was implemented at Penn Forest using a 6 day cycle. The students go to their special area classes with their homebase group. 2nd grade classed go to Library in Language Arts groups. Library and Art classes for each homebase are held once in a 6 day cycle and PE and Music are twice in a 6 day cycle.
