PEYEP (Persistent Engagement Youth Empowerment Programs) - The key point of PEYEP is to develop programs that engage and directly impact youth with a core focus on empowerment. The idea is to have a strong program that requires youth involvement to run. PEYEP is the umbrella organization for the following events and programs. Blackbird Fly- An annual two day event for young ladies ages 10 -21. Including a workshop event on the first day and a gala ball on the second. The event is geared towards women empowerment and boast attendance of at least 60 young ladies. www.bbirdfly.com Blackhawk - This event is in planning. It is the male equivalent to BBF. Team Tsunami- A community based track and field fitness program serving upwards of 30 young people. with the goal to promote discipline, health and fitness while addressing the national problem of youth obesity. Tsunami Track provides structure for young people through a regiment fitness routine and consistent practice. Teaching young people to push past their inclination to quit. P.E.M.G.- a mentoring program that uses Hip-Hop as a vehicle to reinforce community values, sense of purpose, entrepreneurial spirit, and problem solving. P.EM.G. encourages independent thinking from participants in order to challenge negative value qualities. Teaches tangible steps towards attaining their goals in New Media, Entertainment/ Arts and Technology. |
