In November 2003 we bought a small farm called Kowhai Grove.  It is located close to Te Hana which is a small township on State Highway No. 1 just 7 km North of Wellsford.  

We own 4.5 Hectar of land. We have a small patch of native bush and two houses, one built approx 1984 and one built around 1920. 

 The idea is, to be self sufficient in as many things as possible. Own vegetables, own eggs,  own milk and own meat and poultry.  The production is purely based on organic principles although we are not certified organic.
