Description
A rare and beautiful example of the second son of Joseph Alfred, his bows closely imitate his father's bows and it is very difficult to tell them apart (generally they have an elongated nose and the button is slightly larger than the stick). It is a great sadness that this talented craftsman was killed in action in 1915 serving his country in the Great War thus robbing France of one of its most talented younger makers.
Playing Characteristics
One of the many good points with this bow is that when you play solo Bach in nervous situations it helps you by playing soft chord work with beautiful control. As with many top class Lamy bows it sits very comfortably on the string.
Condition
In first class condition with very little wear this bow has suffered a slight break in the middle of the stick, thus making it a wonderful first class bow at a very competitive price.
