Playing Characteristics

The bow sits very well on the string produces a large warm sound (typical of this makers concept of a good bow).  ideal for people who dont have that tight a bow and who perhaps own a violin that is on the edgy side since this bow brings to the fore the lower frequencies.  In lovely rich full sounding bow.

Condition

Although it is difficult to spot the head has been replaced with a superb splice and could easily be made to disappear if one wished!
The stick made from his best stock and presents with a wonderful irridesance.  The heel although being very similar to Tubbs is by another hand and likewise the button is not original.  Underneath all these losses in originality lies and fabulous playing bow for someone who wants that beautiful Tubbs feel when playing without the price tag!
