Phil 137: Philosophy of Action

I am a graduate student in philosophy at UCSD.  I graduated from Pomona College in 2005 with a B.A. in Philosophy.

My philosophical interests are in the philosophy of action, moral psychology, applied ethics (especially animal welfare and world poverty), and feminism. I'm particularly interested in free will and responsibility, agency, the reactive attitudes (especially forgiveness), and pessimism. My recent research has focused on forgiveness, the reactive attitudes, the value of free will and the morality of hunting and of direct action on behalf of animals.

I make time for running, movies, novels, tea, and novelty.  And I try to make time for break dancing, yoga, and bad movies.
