Permaship is a permaculture demonstration and information center, located at the Southern Slopes of the Balkan Mountains, consisting of two home scale intensive permaculture sites, with working systems that include: chicken tractor beds, rainwater collection systems - (earthworks and storage tanks), dry compost toilets and greywater system. This web site contains extensive information on practical application and experiences of permaculture principles .It also provides a history of Permaship's activities, as well as links and information about the new projects and ideas that permaship founders and friends are currently working on.
This is what we are doing beyond permaship:
Paul has launched the Balkan Ecology Project and is currently focussing on the establishment of Forest Gardens around Shipka. In 2012 Balkan Ecology Project will be continuing the educational program of Permaship.
Sophie and Tania are involved in the Shipka Youth Club initiative which is a community project.
Nick and Tania are going forward by taking the time to reshape their site into a truly sustainable system - malko po malko (little by little).
