What is Permaship?
Permaship is an experimental demonstration, education and information centre inspired by permaculture principles and techniques, which is making its first steps now
It all started on the Southern slopes of the Balkan mountains in the village of Shipka, where a meeting brought together a group of like-minded people who share a common vision: - live close to Nature, observe and learn from it, - understand what our true needs are - achieve more with less - remembering old and learning new ways - allow time for the things we love to do: music, arts, cooking, community work, reading, knitting, yoga and making our dreams materialize. Kalina inspired us to read about permaculture a few years ago and since then we have been experimenting in the garden, in the house and in everything we do. Within Bulgaria we have identified a need for a centre from which to learn, develop and share valuable skills and knowledge throughout our local community and beyond. Permaship is also about learning how to minimize our impact on environment in all aspects of living and this web site shares our experience so far.
