People v. Davidovich

Compassionate Friends

Where are all of my compassionate friends?
Prop 215 needs your help again.
The DA has gotten way out of hand,
Wanting you to think she’s helping our land.

Telling lies, and spreading her fear,
Suppressing the truth so you can’t hear.
Trying to look good this election year.
So don’t be fooled by the lies you hear.

She started out her personal attack,
On the sick can you imagine that?
Targeting people who followed the law,
She plans to lie until she gets us all.

Come stand with us we need to unite.
You can’t back down and win this fight?
Do it because you know it’s not right.
Living under her wrath of fear each night.

There’s No Need To Put A Jail Around Me
August, 2009

Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need for you to be picking on me.
What’s so different, help me to see?
Why you wage a war in the land of the free?
Not much difference between you and me,
you use coffee and I use weed.
Hey now, hey now can’t you see, t
here’s no need to put a jail around me.

Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need for you to be picking on me.
For thirteen years you were on our back,
the only changed was your angle of attack.
They voted once again we all heard that,
to give the patients safe access back.
Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need to put a jail around me.

Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need for you to be picking on me.
Where’s your heart while our sick are dying?
Honor the laws and stop the lying.
We are here to stay because you’re not trying;
it’s our rights that you’re denying.
Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need to put a jail around me.

Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need for you picking on me.
Take the time and fix what’s gone wrong.
Thirteen years is way to long.
If you follow the law we can all go home,
you and your coffee, me and my bong.
Hey now, hey now can’t you see,
there’s no need to put a jail around patients like me.

Sleep Home Tonight

It started so long ago, that matters to me no more.
Now it’s become a battle ground, no one wins in war.
Let me be the first one to say lets start again,
Can we live together, can we live as friends?
Does it matter how we got here, let’s end this war today, Both sides have got angry, harsh words we both displayed.

Will both sides ever come together, find peace with us today?
Let’s all work together, share what we have to say.
There always will be conflicts, and both sides can be wrong,
I’ll be the first to say, “I’m sorry” and welcome you to my home.
Let’s all bury this hatchet; there is no need to fight,
If we work to solve our differences, then we both sleep home tonight.

Weed or Greed

Passed through votes a law foreseen,
the help some find using this miracle weed.
Some found hope, others now dream,
compassion is what they needed to need.
But you choose to fight, and did it through lies,
terrorizing the sick with no reason why.
What a wake of destruction as you watch them fall,
but you swore by the laws we live and die.
We should give you thanks you’ve brought us together,
giving us a reason to fight.
There is one thing that you can’t take from us,
the reason to defend our rights.
I know the pain, time and again, how is it you cannot see,
We are the victims as so are you, trapped in her lies and pleas.
She’s lied to you and she’s lied to me too, whom are you going to believe?
Were here to fight to defend our weed, she’s here because of her greed.

You’re Rights Too
October, 2009

I am an American, I believe in the red, white, and blue,
I believe in what she stands for, I believe her heart is true.
I believe the laws of this land are the laws for me and you.
I am your fellow American with unalienable rights too.
I believe in our freedom, I believe in your rights,
I believe our justice system will get through this alright.
Your corrupted ways Mrs. DA are now brought into the light.
What made you think that we would not give you a fight?

We were few when we started, and growing more each day,
We won’t stand by anymore to be treated by you this way.
You couldn’t do this peaceful you had to make it a war,
The law says your illegal when you kick in our doors.
It’s time to turn and hold our ground it’s time to make a stand.
It’s time you too do what’s expected of you by the laws of this land

Let us Get on with our Lives

You made us run, and you made us hide,
You persecute our people just to hide your lies.
All we asked was to be treated fair,
The lies in your eyes say that you don’t care.
You’ve turned your backs for so many years,
Open your hearts help us dry our tears.
We came to you in the chance of hope,
All you’ve done was to tighten the rope.
Thirteen years we’ve had to us carry your cross,
Is it worth the pain we suffer for your loss?
How many times do we have to beg of you?
Please just see this through, what if it was you?
You keep forbidding the law that was written,
To you there is only one side.
We could start living, if you were forgiving,
Let us get on with our lives.
