The first Penobscot County Fiddlers' Showcase on April 30, 2011 at the Bangor Grange Hall was a great success.  The second annual Penobscot County Fiddlers' Showcase will be held on May 5, 2012 again at the Bangor Grange Hall, 1192 Ohio ST., Bangor, from 7 - 8:30.

For more info on the 2011 Showcase see the videos page and read all about it before it happened in the Bangor Daily News!

Penobscot Fiddles is a group of amateur musicians in Bangor, Maine who enjoy playing and sharing traditional fiddle music.   All ages and abilities are welcome as are all acoustic instruments (including fiddle, mandolin,  guitar, banjo, bass, piano, accordion, whistles and percussion).

Penobscot Fiddles
meets weekly on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.  In the summer we meet at the Blackbeard's, 339 Odlin Rd., Bangor, Maine.  Look for us outside under the gazebo.

HOW DO YOU JOIN?  Just come and bring your instrument!  No Cost.

See the  Tunes page for sheet music notation.  You can also listen to Audio clips of many songs for practicing; generally most of the audio clips will be at learning tempos.  Beware that the clips do not play in all internet browsers.  We know that they play through Firefox and Google Chrome browsers.

We will try and
keep an updated Recent Session page used to identify tunes to be or recently played.
