I am a senior trainee with the Karuna Institute in Devon and have completed a 4½-year training. I am working to gain a Masters degree in Core Process Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I am registered as a trainee therapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

I am also an accredited visitor with Cruse Bereavement Care and have several years’ experience of working with bereaved people in this way.

I offer an introductory meeting without charge. This gives you an opportunity to meet me, ask questions and discuss how therapy might be helpful to you.

Psychotherapy involves a confidential professional relationship which aims to offer you a safe, warm and welcoming space to explore what is going on for you. Some issues can be easier to bring to therapy than to share with friends or family. It can also be an opportunity to explore your life and experiences and reach a deeper understanding of yourself.

Core Process Psychotherapy is informed by Buddhist thinking as well as Western psychology. It is a joint practice of mindfulness between client and therapist. It is based on an experience that we all have an inherent movement towards health at our core, whatever patterning, distortions or scar tissue affect the surface layers of our personality. Bringing awareness to our experience in the present moment in the context of a safe relationship may loosen the painful or limiting strategies we developed in the past, allowing us to move spontaneously towards greater health and wholeness.

Sessions are weekly at the same time and last for one hour.
