About Us

Penn Weekend Service is a student organization that hosts a variety of community service events every Saturday during the academic school year. Our purpose is to make it easy for students to give back to the community by taking care of all the behind stuff. We plan the events and provide the transportation --all you have to do is show up, no rsvp needed. We work hard to provide a variety of events so you can pick and choose to come to the events that really interest you. Commitment depends on how much you want to get out of it --you can come to a couple of events a semester or as often as you like.

Penn Weekend Service is great for: 
  • those who don't have a lot of time to commit to community service regularly
  • those who like variety of community service 
  • those who want to see more of Philadelphia, beyond Penn's campus 
  • student groups who want a bonding experience among their members while doing community service
