Cinnamon French Toast

Cinnamon French Toast (as seen on Pennies on a Platter)


3 thick slices of bread
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup milk
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
syrup, as desired
powdered sugar, as desired
butter, as desired

Preheat griddle and spray with noncooking spray.  Or, melt a tablespoon of butter in a large nonstick skillet.  Cut each bread slice into two triangular sections, discarding scraps.

Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.  Dip each section of bread into the bowl, coating both sides.  Place on griddle or skillet and cook for a couple of minutes on each side until done.

Arrange sections on a plate in a circular pattern (as shown). Dollop a ball of butter in the center of the slices, sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with yummy syrup.
