Who We are
Pennsylvania Chinese Dance Club (PCDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to performing and propagating Chinese folk and ethnic dances. Founded in May, 2006, we have attracted lots of Chinese dance fans and lovers by unveiling the beauty of oriental culture with colorful events and activities. PCDC is the home for
Chinese dance lovers in great Philadelphia area to dance, to make
friends, and to learn the art of dancing. PCDC is dedicated to deliver
Chinese culture and her mysterious beauty to all audiences in America. We have been invited to perform in more than 30 shows in Philadelphia, New Jersey area, and Connecticut. Our featured dances include the Han dynasty dance <Ta Ge> , Han Folk Dance <Good Days>, Dai dance <A Beautiful Place> and <Deep in the Bamboo Forest>, Dun Huang dance <Magic> and <Flying Asparas>, Tibetan Dance <Kang Ding Qing Ge> and <Tibetan Song>, Tujia Folk Dance <Three Gorges -- My Hometown>, Belly Dance <Memories from Paradise> etc.
In addition, we've successfully organized cultural gala shows, such as PCDC Golden Fall Classical Music Concert, Mid-Autumn Festival of University City, PCDC Annual Dance Show etc. PCDC also organized social dance lessons/parties for Chinese scholars and students, featuring a variety of dances such as Cha-cha-cha, Salsa, Waltz, etc.

PCDC(宾州华人舞蹈协会)是一支致力于宣扬推广中国民间民族歌舞文化的艺术团体。我们是一个非宗教，非政治，非种族，非营利的团队。自2006年5月成立以来，PCDC以其独具魅力的东方神韵及多姿多彩的社会活动，吸引了大批中国歌舞爱好者的支持与参与。
PCDC通过多种渠道积极向社会宣传中国文化。协会成功排演了多支具有浓郁中国古典风情的民间歌舞，以及极具地域特色的民族歌舞，如汉代舞蹈《踏歌》《好日子》，傣族舞《有一个美丽的地方》《竹林深处》，敦煌舞《神奇》《飞天》，藏族舞《康定情歌》《翻身农奴把歌唱》，土家族舞蹈《三峡我的家》，肚皮舞《思情》等；举办多个大型文艺晚会（PCDC金秋民乐之声、PCDC周年庆典、2007大学城中秋晚会，2009年PCDC成立三周年舞蹈专场演出等）；受到费城及新泽西地区近20多家社团，及耶鲁大学2008新春晚会邀请演出，受到各界一致好评。
PCDC还成.功举办了多期拉丁舞培训班，如Cha-cha-cha, Salsa, Waltz等，开展了一系列周末舞会，极大地丰富了业余生活。
我们希望通过以舞健身，以舞交友，以舞习艺的方式，为大费城地区的华人朋友提供娱乐休闲的场所。同时，致力于在美宣传中国传统文化，展示东方文化的魅力。 |
