DVDs Made Simple

Created by Eric Pierce, tovid is "a collection of video disc authoring tools; it can help you create your own DVDs, VCDs, and SVCDs for playback on your home DVD player." 

tovid is also incredibly simple and easy to use - the process of making a DVD has been streamlined into a suite of scripted tools. With a few brief commands, anyone can author a complete disc with menus.

DV to DVD 

pengi films extensively uses tovid to encode digital footage to MPEG-2 program streams for DVD production. tovid can also create menus, prepare the DVD file system, and author DVDs.

Development 

pengi films also actively contributes to the tovid community and project, writing new code and answering user questions.
