During father's sparetime, he would prefer to go fishing more than gambling like other retired people. It is such a wonderful exercise for him and even makes him robust. About twenty years ago, he picked up a life from serious gastric perforation(胃穿孔), and he was advised to do such kind of excersie not only as part of treatment. It's really a good hobby and plenty of fish could be brought home to be yummy on the table.

        Luckily you could view the pictures of some live 'byproducts' taken home by my father. There're always shrimps, crabs, lobsters from freshwater rivers and ponds. The fellows are caught by some special device called shrimp cage(虾笼) with bait inside to lure the staffs falling in and impossible to get out.

        The crabs are full of energy, so I have to put them in a large porcelain enamel bowl preventing from crawling everywhere. It's a kind of freshwater species and the mature ones only grow up to such size about 5 cm of the body. The lobster is maybe original from Japan, you could find it in the restaurants everywhere especially in summer.
