1)      What is the “PTO”?

Parent Teacher Organization comprised of the families, teachers, and staff of Peggy Wilson Elementary.

2)      Why should I join?  

The PTO helps foster a community at Wilson.  The PTO hosts a carnival, KISS night and other events that help the community come together.

3)      What does my $10 go towards?   

The PTO raises money each year for cultural arts programs for Wilson that they would not have otherwise.  The Singing Zoologist, Mother Goose, and storytellers come to enhance the curriculum.  In addition, the PTO pays for special Wish List items that the administration at Wilson requests each year.

4)      Why should I be in the directory?

The directory is a great network for Wilson kids.  It's a great way to get to know the other kids in your child's room.

5)      How do I get a directory?

The directory deadline is Wednesday, September 15^th. If you turn in your form you will be in the directory. A limited supply of directories will be on sale after PTO members receive their copies.

6)      Doesn't joining the PTO mean that I have to volunteer? 

No!  We'd love for you to of course, but even if you're not volunteering, the PTO is an excellent resource for you and your child.
