Welcome to the Bowe School Clinic 2011-2012  Hello! My name is Karen Robison. I have been the nurse at Bowe School since January 2008 and am looking forward to the new school year. My goal is to work with parents, students and staff to assure that everyone has a safe and healthy school year. Student Health & Emergency Information Forms
These forms will be sent home with all students the first week of school or will be given to new students when they start. It is essential that we have this information as soon as possible. Let me know if there are any health concerns for your child & what type of insurance your child has in case of emergency. Please be aware that this form tells us how to reach you in case of an emergency. If your address or phone numbers change, be sure we have the updated information. Student Medications
If your child has emergency medications such as an inhaler or Epi-pen, please talk to me as soon as possible.
All medications must be brought to the clinic by an adult. A specific doctor's order and a parent permission form are required before any medication can be given in school. The necessary forms are available in the clinic or you can print them from this page. In the left column, click on forms & you will find Doctor's order and Parent Permission .
Throughout the school year, we will be performing various health screenings. These include height and weight, head checks, hearing and vision screenings, and scoliosis screening for 5th grade students.
Physical exams are mandated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and dental screenings are also recommended. When your child has either a physical or dental screening please send a copy of it to school so it can be added to your child's file.
