As it enters its 28th year, the Prairie du Chien Perimeter Camp is staffed by many of the finest coaches and players in the Midwest. Over 200 campers and coaches attended the individualized instruction basketball camp in 2018. In addition to Coach Banasik, Coach Orr, and Coach Shedivy high school varsity boys' and girls' coaches from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois bring their talents to Perimeter Camp. The camp staff is supplemented by college basketball players from some of the finest Division II and Division III college programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

At camp, we help players to understand what factors lead to excellent perimeter play. Each session is focused on techniques and skills that are crucial to good play. We want each player to return with new ideas, drills, workouts and to be more inspired, dedicated, and effective.

These are some of the topics we cover at camp:

Camp Directors

Forrest Larson, 2003 Wisconsin High School Coach of the Year, was the head basketball coach at Ladysmith High School for 15 years. Recently his teams have made four trips to the state tournament, played for the state championship in 1996 and 2002, and won the state championship in 2003. The success of these teams has been based on their perimeter skills. Larson has also produced two well-known offensive skill tapes, “Take it to the Rim” and “100 Trips-A Full Court Workout.” He has lectured on the topics of motivation and ball handling at over one hundred camps in fifteen different states and is a 2011 WBCA Hall of Fame inductee.

Andy Banasik is the District Administrator at Prairie du Chien High School. He was the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach for 30 years at Prairie du Chien High School. His teams have won 8 conference titles in the last 14 years.

Kevin Orr is a graduate of Mount Senario College, where they were National Small College Athletic Association Champions in 1991. He is in his 22nd  year as Head Boys’ Basketball Coach of Rice Lake High School. In his first season, he took the team to the sectional and in his 2nd season his team was a contender for a Big Rivers Conference championship and was a Division 2 Sectional Finalist. Coach Orr's team has been ranked in the top 5 throughout the 2011-2012 and 2012-13 seasons.
