Introduction to Project Citizen

Assessment, Grading, and Classroom Management

Students in small groups can use these roles to stay organized throughout the project. These roles are in addition to other responsibilities that students take on during each step in the project.

After completing the research and writing for each step in Project Citizen, students in small groups can use this organizer to divide up the work for putting together their final portfolio. This helps hold each student accountable for his or her part of the final product.

Showcases

Send this to people in your community at the beginning of the project to invite them to participate and to let them know that students may contact them for interviews or research questions

Give this to students early in the project so they know what the requirements are for each step. Students may use the rubric to judge the example projects, below, so they understand how their project will be judged. Also use for judging final presentations.
