These links should provide lots of great information about Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports -- Getting Started, FAQs, Examples, & Training. There are links to more specific sites on each of the PBIS 299 pages! If you are just getting started with School-Wide PBIS, the OSEP/PBIS site provides a great beginning. Once on the site, go to the Online Library, click Past Conference Presentations. Look for "Just getting started...?" There you will find five PowerPoint presentations on the PBIS basics. You can walk yourself or your whole staff through an entire PBIS Training Series by downloading the PowerPoints from the OnLine Modules page of Florida's PBS site. Here's a book recommended to me by Lafayette's Principal, Trisha Shrode: The Educator's Guide to Solving Common Behavior Problems by Raymond J. Waller Her recommendation was spot on -- read it! |
NEW RESOURCE:
Nearly every state has a site describing their own PBIS efforts.
