Meets at 10:50am in the Sanctuary for opening before children are dismissed to class.
First Communion Catechesis
First Communion Catechesis is open to children in regular attendance and participation in the Divine Service and Prayer Offices of the Church and Sunday School who have demonstrated a desire to receive communion and a willingness and maturity to receive preparatory instruction upon mutual agreement of the pastor, parents, and child. Recognizing that there will be exceptions, children will normally be no younger than age seven when they receive First Communion. Classes meet each year during Lent. Confirmation Catechesis
Saturday Mornings September through May
Grades Five and Six
Meets 9:00am to 10:00am
Adult Catechesis (Prospective Member Instruction)
Pastor will teach a series of classes on fundamental Lutheran Christian beliefs, doctrines, confessions, and worship. This class is for adults that are new to the Lutheran Christian faith as well as those who were confirmed long ago. At the end of the course, those desiring to become members of the The Lutheran Church of Christ the King may be confirmed. The course will utilize Luther’s Small Catechism, the Book of Concord, the Lutheran Service Book, and the newly released “Lutheranism 101” book along with some powerpoint and multi-media aids. Adult Bible Study
Sunday mornings at 11:00am, year round.
Seniors Bible Study
Thursdays at 2:00pm at the King's Apartments Community Room
Presently studying A Survey of the Old Testament
Devotion & Prayer Group
This group meets Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm for devotion and prayer September through May.
Topical studies that change from time to time.
Presently utilizing the Lutheran Women's Quarterly devotional.
Sisters In Christ
This women's group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30pm.
Studys a Bible lesson or devotion while enjoying fellowship (and often great food!).
The Brothers of John the Steadfast (Men's Confessions and Bible Study)
This men's group meets once a month to study the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (The Book of Concord) and the Holy Scriptures.
We are a Chapter of The Brothers of John the Steadfast.
