I am a social psychologist and post-doctoral scholar in the Psychology Department at the University of California, Berkeley

My research focuses on the intersection of social hierarchy, emotion, and intergroup relations. I am currently working on research projects concerning:
  • The psychology of social class
  • The social effects of rank and status
  • Unethical and prosocial behavior
  • Intergroup conflict and reconciliation
  • Collective emotions

I investigate these topics in naturalistic settings as well as in controlled laboratory experiments.

See my new research "Higher Social Class Predicts Increased Unethical Behavior," which was published in the March 13, 2012 issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
