Lizzie Mc Keown had two husbands

Her first husband was James Mc Ilroy (older brother of my grandfather William John McIlroy) James was born at 21 Baker Street in 1876. He married Elizabeth Mc Keown in 1899 and they were living at 41 Linden Street in 1901. James died in The Royal Victoria Hospital in October 1904 as a result of injuries sustain in an accident at H&W shipyard.
It was seven years later, February 1911, before  Lizzie remarried, here new husband was William Charles Mc Cready who was the younger brother of Ellen McCready (wife of William John McIlroy) my grandmother. William and Lizzie lived at 13 Balkan Street according to the 1911 census. William later joined the army and was with the 2nd battalion Royal Irish Rifles in France in the early days of WW1. Sadly he was killed in action on 20th September 1914.  I don't know what became of Lizzie, maybe she married again. As far as I know there were no children to either marriage

James McIlroy

(Did he fall or was he pushed?)

James died in The Royal Victoria Hospital in October 1904 as a result of injuries sustain in an accident at H&W shipyard.  He was 28 years of age and at the time of his death was living at 75 Ross Street in Belfast and was employed as labourer at the construction of the new dry dock in Harland & Wolff Shipyard. According to the death certificate issued on 1st of November  1904  James death was caused by a ''Fracture dislocation of the spine accidentally caused by being knocked or falling into a trench whilst in the ordinary execution of his duties at the new Graving Dock Belfast'' I have applied to the Public Records Office in Belfast for information from the Coroner's Inquest into the death. They have told me that my request is under consideration and I will be informed in due course.
