Fitting a Power Touch Mover
A DIY Guide.

I removed my mover from my old Bailey to re-fit it onto our new Sterling, here is a photo guide to fitting.

It took me around 2 hours to fit. Please use it in conjunction with the

Manufacturers Instructions.

The mover ready to fit, loosely assembled.

Powertouch advise not shortening wires so the unit can be refitted.

Each side consists of a motor unit and clamps.

I used stainless bolts and locknut to stop them rusting.

Ensure steadies are wound down, chock wheels, apply handbrake.

Disconnect Mains and Battery.

The clamps will be fitted under the small opening, ensure there are

no wires or pipes to cause an obstruction.

Look for an entry point for your cables.

The Sterling had this one which was ideal.

I chose the panel behind the mains connector for the keyswitch.

This way I must disconnect before the key will go in.

Assemble the bar loosely onto one motor unit.

Slide the motor and bar underneath the caravan

Slide the other side in.

Connect the two motor units at roughly the correct width.
