About the Artist

In my photography, I look to capture the richness of nature and the world around me.I find that exploring color leads to exciting discoveries, whether photographing a village scene, market place or the cactus blooms in my Arizona backyard.  My photographs create a simple vibrancy meant to capture moments in time - the extraordinary in the everyday.

Since 2006, my notecards have been available at the Desert Botanical Garden Gift Shop in Phoenix, AZ.  My photographs were the first of a rotating artist format at the University Club in the Fall of 2007.

Because I believe that we can repair the world one child at a time, I sponsor five children from around the world through Children International (www.children.org), an organization that works to lift families out of poverty through education and health care. A portion of each photography sale benefits six year old Johan Alejandro from Jaleisco, Mexico and his family.

Canon is my photo equipment of choice; I shoot on Rebel Xti and 10D cameras, and print on a Canon i9900.

Reviews

"Your fresh, vital photography makes a definite statement about life and love and appreciating the present tense. The art bespeaks your values and your life. Thank you for what you have done and what you do."-B. Carver, client

"Your pictures are just extravagant.  They are so unbelievable and so beautiful.  They are truly outstanding!  Really great work, Paula." - Susan Cline, client

"Your website is terrific and illustrates the depth of your work. Very professional. I was torn between "Flowers" and "Travel" and decided that each has its own strength and appeal. Composition is very, very good in your photos! Much to be admired." -Nort Remes, Photographer

Paula Silverberg transforms what she discovers by recognizing its inherent beauty, and in the act of engaging with a point of focus in the universe, she enlarges our field of perception. Each sensory awareness is sharpened and makes richer our understanding of how replete the universe continues to become.  - Sheila E. Murphy,    Poet  (and collaborator)

Accolades on the newest collection: "It's hard to think after watching your work that you could out- do yourself. You did. These  photos are outstanding- beautiful and vivid. Hurrah for your continuing search for better and better."- Harriet Hollander, client

Paula, these (newest images) are incredible! All of these photos are so lush. I feel I'm there in every image and could reach out and touch everything including the spectacular butterfly "Black Magic" . What a shot!! You have set a new standard for yourself! And your website is so excellently done, a clear reflection of you. Shoot on!  - Gil Rosen, fine arts collector

A Review from Robert Globerman, Artist / Teacher / Collector
"Amazing" is too weak a word to describe Paula's work.  Of course, from my background I'd have to be partial to the travel collection.  The subject -- her eye, her composition, angles, lighting and color are truly amazing, but that word is not enough.  Spectacular, gorgeous, stunning, miraculous!  Every last one of them.  And whether flowers or butterflies, every single photo is a knockout.  I never saw better ones.  They should be in book form -- no, album form, so that the possessor can remove them and frame them all.  My god, they're unbelievable.  I have award-winning photos in my possession from phenomenal students. Hers surpass them.  Several people could take the same shots as hers, from the same spot, at the same time, and there would be no comparison.  Congratulations many, many times over.
