| PATUXENT YOUT H WRESTLING CLUB is a great stepping stone for those planning on wrestling in high school. Boys and girls can learn a lot by wrestling with the club so that when they reach the high school level they have the fundamentals of the sport and the confidence to face their opponents. Coaches are often associated with our highschool, so they get an idea of who will be moving forward with the sport and become a member of the High School Team. As parents and coaches we believe that our team teaches kids about challenges and instills confidence and sportsmanship. It promotes good health and fitness as well as providing an outlet where our wrestlers can express themselves and develop their talents. Our league currently consists of 15 teams located in Maryland as far north as Prince Georges County. Meets are held and hosted at various schools and venues. Directions and a complete list of Schools and Rosters are located on the SMJWL website. Hey Parents, often times our little athletes are so focused on WINNING; instead of just doing their best, trying hard in competition and enjoying themselves, that they let a failure consume them. Every oponent is different, every match is a new challange and every day should be an uplifting experience for them. Practice hard, play hard and in the end you will be a winner no matter what the outcome.
Something we should teach our children:
