![]() I conduct research in the field of international relations and international institutions. My main interest lies in global public health and development aid, and my dissertation explores the politics of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Specifically, I seek to explain tangible inputs and outcomes: Why are donors willing to provide significant financial contributions to some institutions, but not to others? What effects do different decision-making procedures have, and what is the role of non-state actors in these procedures? Why are countries differently successful in acquiring grants, and why do these vary so much in terms of total amounts and amounts per sufferer? My dissertation is supervised by Dr William Phelan. |
