Happy New Year to all my friends and fans across the region. Thank you for supporting me so well during 2009. Special good wishes to all those at The Jukebox Social Club of Norwich, to Gill and Aubrey at Rickenhall, Jackie and Graham Halls of Boxford and to Wes Cardy and Jan, to Ed and Jan Cuff and to Jean and Ray of The Colt 45 Club. A big thank you also to Joy and Alan of the Ipswich Railway Club. Thanks and Best Wishes again to Roy Waller of Radio Norfolk for announcing my gig dates during the year.
Best Wishes to Andy Lawler who gave me my first real break into becoming a singer by employing me at his Pub in Norwich "The Duke of Norfolk". Andy is now enjoying life in Turkey. Susan and myself hope to meet up with Andy soon!
Jukebox Boat Trip 2009 The Jukebox Boat Trip on the Mississippi at Horning was a great success again this year, blessed with glorious weather and with Steve Alan providing the entertainment, all on board had a great evening. Also many thanks to Margaret for putting on a superb buffet. A few pictures from the evening are on the picture page.
I am pleased to report that Rebecca who many of you supported so well has just had her scan results which show no change from those taken a year ago, which is great news. A further scan will be taken in November this year and if, as we all hope, things are still fine, Becky will be scheduled for two year checks. As you can see from her latest school picture, she is looking every bit a bundle of mischief and a picture of good health.
Happy New Year! Once again, my thanks to Roy Waller at Radio Norfolk for reading out all my gig dates on his Rodeo Norfolk programme. To all at the Jukebox Social Club and to Gill and Aubrey and all my Country Music friends at Rickenhall, Ipswich, Stowupland and Felixstowe. Thanks also to special friends Enid Prior and to Alan and Joy of the Ipswich Railway Club. My thanks also to all those who booked me during 2008 and to all those folks who came along. From Susan and I, a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year to you all. Thank you so much for all your support and friendship during 2008. Update on Rebecca's Recovery Rebecca, pictured above with Kevin Barry and Pat James during an East Coast Truckers charity event at Norwich Working Mans Club is continuing to make good progress following her operation last year to remove a brain tumour. A further scan during October or November this year will hopefully confirm that the operation was a complete success. Becky certainly appears to be a normal, healthy little girl on the outside and we all keep our fingers crossed that all is well on the inside. Best wishes to Becky and all her family. Dave Berry Pat pictured with Dave Berry at Arkwrights club during June. A well attended and successful gig. A DVD was also made of PAt's performance at the show and will be availble soon. Rodeo Norfolk Just to acknowledge the help I get from Roy Waller (our new Sheriff) on Radio Norfolk. Rodeo Norfolk each Saturday morning is a highly popular Country Music programme hosted by Roy and has a wide audience in our region. Along with countless other acts, my gig dates are read out by Roy every week. There are many times I see people at my gigs who are there solely because they heard it announced on Radio Norfolk. Thanks Roy (and Sylvia), you are much appreciated. Wishing your programme continuing success. April 5th 2008 The Charity Event on April 5th with Pat and Johnny Marks attracted the support of around 180 people at Jubillee Hall Loddon and raised an amount of over £626 for Motor Neurone Disease research. The event was organised by Dick and Eileen Bloor of R and B Entertainments . My thanks to all who supported this charity evening so well, all who provided raffle prizes and to those volunteers in the kitchen not forgetting Terry Mitchell who compered the evening so well. The job's yours Terry. Rebecca Update November 9th 2007
Rebecca's fund raising event took place on 9th November and raised a fabulous £700 for this lovely little girl who is recovering from an operation to remove a brain tumour. I had the pleasure of performing with and alongside Kevin Barry, one of the best regional acts, who is not only a great vocalist, but plays Banjo and Guitar. A great night and very well supported. Thanks to all who supported the event so generously and to Margaret and all her team of helpers who put so much into making it such a success. A moving acknowledgement speech from Donna (Rebecca's Mum).
September 29th 2007
Following a superb turn out on September 29th at Rickinghall Village Hall, an amount of £850 was collected for little Ellie May's Trust Fund. A smashing evening during which Susan and I were presented with a bouquet of flowers and a decorative clock with an enscribed plaque from all our friends in Rickinghall. A little sad for Organiser Gill Rust that hubbie Aubrey couldn't be there on the night owing to ill health, but wishing him a speedy recovery. Well done Gill and friends for all your hard work and thank you to all those who supported the event. Pat's CDs Now Available! Pat's CD's are now available to purchase! Acting as support act to 60's band "The Ivy League" , I enjoyed a great night at Arkwrights Club in Norwich. An audience of around 200 people were treated to an evening of 60's nostalgia, cabaret and plenty of dancing to my mainly 60's programme and to a superb performance from the band who also introduced a comedy spot from David on drums. A very talented Group and nice guys too. A word also for the bands roadies, who were very friendly and totally professional. A fab and fun night out for all! July 15th 2007 Debenham Music Festival!

Whew! Im now recovering from a fantastic Sunday at the Debenham Music Festival! Promoter Ed Cuff and his wife Jan were no doubt happy (and relieved) that the sun shone and the open air festival was spared from the worst rain showers. Among other fantastic acts, "Souls n' Stone" helped create a superb laid back atmosphere for the revellers who were there to line-dance, relax or just soak up the fun of the day! I Also enjoyed the company and hospitality of John Wayne and Michelle. Many of you will recall great nights out with John who sang at many a venue locally and indeed further afield. The message to all John Wayne fans past and present is that he is alive and kicking although not in the best of health. Due to breathing difficulties, John's voice although still as good as ever, is limited to short periods only. I do have Johns address and will gladly pass on your good wishes if you email me. (More pictures from the event can be found in the "Pictures and Video" tab on the left)
