Please join us in celebrating Black History Month. Members of PATwill be visiting the African American Museum in Downtown Los Angeles to take a look at some of the exhibits celebrating the rich traditions in African American Culture. If you would like to attend please sign up in Eboni Shaw's office (Bunche 6250). A carpool will be arranged, so please note on the sign up sheet if you can drive or will need a ride. This talk will attempt to enlighten students on the spoken and unspoken rules of applying to graduate school. We will cover topics including but not limited to professional etiquette, personal statements, letters of recommendation, and funding.

The Phi Alpha Theta Biennial Convention is being held at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego, CA on January 6-9, 2010. If you would like to submit a paper for the conference paper propsals are due Thursday, October 15th. Please return the attached form to Eboni on or before the 15th if you would like to submit a proposal. |

Since the Writing Center has been disbanded because of budget cuts, Phi Alpha Theta will be hosting a writing workship to allow incoming students to learn how to write a good history paper as well as refreshing past students on the basics.
