Did you know that the Parkway Manor PTO is responsible for:
Ø creating PJ the Panther; Ø the monthly birthday table; Ø managing, planting and taking care of the many gardens at school; Ø providing funds for every grade to go on field trips; Ø bringing in author assemblies to introduce the love of books and reading to the children; Ø giving teachers a little extra to help primp up their classrooms; Ø providing social activities during and after school hours in an effort to create a sense of community; Ø purchasing playground systems, installing the walking path, and many other enhancements that are outside the realm of district funding Ø providing volunteers to help specialties throughout the school?
The mission of our PTO is to serve as a liaison between Parents, Teachers and Administration, with one common goal: to enrich learning, social opportunities and the environment at Parkway Manor. We generate, gather and distribute resources to supplement school programs and beautification projects, as well as enhance the educational experiences of all students. We strive to maintain open communication in order to promote a sense of community and cooperation between parents and teachers, ensuring that our students receive the best education possible and achieve their fullest potential.
We are a hands-on, volunteer non-profit organization. The key to our success is your involvement. Our PTO is only as good as our volunteers. We urge you to get involved any way you can, whether it be time, fund raising support or with your heart.
